Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-01-28
These Terms govern your use of Clockdo, including the Clockdo WordPress plugin, hosted APIs, dashboards, and verification pages.
Service Scope
- Clockdo generates or helps verify OpenTimestamps-compatible proof material.
- Clockdo does not determine authorship, ownership, or infringement.
- Clockdo does not provide legal advice or guarantee legal outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- You must have authority to process any content or data you submit.
- You are responsible for protecting your WordPress admin, credentials, and local proof files.
- You must not use the service to bypass authentication, scrape non-public content, or abuse rate limits.
Timestamp Semantics
An OTS proof shows that a fingerprint existed by a certain time according to the OpenTimestamps workflow. The anchored time may be later than the original publish time, especially when delayed processing or third-party infrastructure is involved.
Storage
The WordPress plugin may store proof files in your uploads directory. Optional hosted plans may retain manifest and proof artifacts for the term described by that plan. You should keep your own originals and backups.
Liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clockdo disclaims warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential damages.
